John Craig on fire!!
Historically the winner of the scratch prize for a gents weekday medal has come from players in division 1 - not so last week as we saw with John Craig who posted a 2 over par gross 73 to tie Martyn Aitken on the same score. John, who played (past tense) off 13 handicap, returned a nett 60 to stroll to victory in class 2, and with a better inward scratch 9 holes, also scooped lowest gross! John no longer plays off 13 and now boasts a 10 handicap! If this form continues then the single figure section surely awaits. John was recently fitted at our PING fitting day for new G30 irons.

Well done to Dave Forsyth who had a hole in one at the 3rd hole playing in the Club Championship on Sunday. He was playing Jason Dickson and Mike Megginson before watching the ball disappear into the hole. Well done!

Junior Pennant match
The boys played their first match against the 2014 league winners at a dry but breezy Murcar Links. Despite a 4-1 defeat the team acquitted themselves well against lower handicapped opponents, 4 matches concluded on the 17th green and the final match on the 18th. As many of the older boys were unavailable due to exams or work commitments, we fielded a very young team with 6 of the 10 players making their debut, most of the team also new to the Murcar course.
Our next match is Sunday, 31 May away to Peterhead. Our final match will be on Sunday, 6 June at home vs Inverurie.
