GolPhin for Kids Programme As the Golf Course remains frozen and unplayable Andrew and I have been in discussions with and formed an association with a golf company named GolPhin who, while relatively new to the sport, focus their expertise on juniors playing the game as this article below will explain in more detail. Please take the time to read this and share with your friends and family. GolPhin MyPathway2Golf provides a junior programme that inspires kids to join the club, learn the game at their own pace, have fun with their friends, learn numeracy and life skills, progress their golfing abilities while helping to retain them as future adult club members. The programme that will be delivered and spread over the main playing season empowers the children to want to improve by climbing the GolPhin's Pyramid of Progression while taking ownership of their own progress and data. Many of the coaches who are delivering the programme around the country continue to communicate to their juniors via the GolPhin App which is a key player in the programme and tasks them with different challenges to help keep them engaged over the quieter winter months with skill tests, quizzes, self assessments and various other interactions. Even during another lengthy lockdown or weather stopping the kids getting to the course, coaches are using the GolPhin App’s interactive programme to help keep engaged with the children and their families. Golf facilities currently delivering the programme in Scotland include the likes of; Carnoustie, West Kilbride, Murrayshall, Hilton Park, Royal Dornoch, Strathlene, Blairgowrie, Stirling, North Berwick, Barberton, Musselburgh, Elderslie, Portpatrick, Gourock and The Nairn Golf Club to name but just a few. A recent announcement worthy of a mention is former junior member of East Kilbride Golf Club in Glasgow and current European Tour player Marc Warren who has just put his name to and is sponsoring this programme at the club where he cut his teeth as a junior member and which will now see East Kilbride added to the ever growing list of participating Golf Clubs in Scotland. We plan to deliver a 30 minute Zoom Presentation evening on Thursday 25th February at 7:00pm and highlight and explain in more detail our partnership with GolPhin Mypathway2Golf’s programme and one which Andrew and I are very excited about. Dial in details for the call will be sent out week commencing Monday 22nd February - if you would like to join us on the 25th you can book your spot by emailing me now to bgc.pro.shop@btconnect.com.
