Burns Supper Evening
Yet again another well supported and successful evening last Saturday with the annual Burns Supper. Speeches, toasts and dancers were in abundance and to round off the evening the Deeside Caledonian Pipe Band played a selection of Scottish music which was well received by, not only the members who attended, but the table of international guests from Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Zimbabwe and USA who were mesmerized by the sound of the pipes and drums. A couple of videos for you to view showing highland dancing from Dance Creations of Aberdeen who wowed the audience with their dancing skills.
Defibrillator
Following on the campaign trail that Bernard Gallacher has embraced for all Golf Clubs to have on-site defibrillator, the Club was very kindly offered at no cost one such unit from local safety firm Falck based in Dyce, with 8 members of staff receiving a full one day's training in the use of this life saving device. The unit is currently placed at hand in the bar area while we await the arrival of an alarmed box which will be located at the clubs entrance (easy to access and in a visible location).
