Andy Passes Out!
Congratulations all round to my assistant Andrew Pillans who last week received the great news from the PGA that he has passed on all levels of his Highlands & Islands University Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Professional Golf PGA DipHE and is now a “Fully Qualified” member of the PGA.
Andy leaves the ranks of “trainee” and can hold his head high having passed the intense 3 year programme which includes the following subjects: sport science, golf coaching, business acumen, rules of golf, product knowledge – very well done indeed Andrew.

Pro’s Day
With fabulous weather last weekend we staged our Pro’s Day and hosted 164 players which was an amazing turn-out for sure. Lots of fun with ladies, gents and juniors taking part and then heading into the clubhouse for the buffet.
Big thanks go to all who took part in our day and also to Ian & Karen in the kitchen for laying on a terrific spread.
Adding a touch of colour to the day as expected and sporting an impressive hairdo was the one and only Davy Watt who had to have a mention in my news this week!

Our Squad was made up of; Lindsay Smart, Craig Lindsay, Fergus Bisset, Davy Brand, Ben Read, Ferghus Milne, Blair Milne & Adam Lindsay.
Both teams won their 1st round matches on the Friday with a terrific effort from Banchory Team 2 (Fergus Bisset, Blair Milne, David Brand and Craig Lindsay) who won twice on the Saturday and progressed into Sunday’s semi-final but lost out to Moray 1 in the end- very well played gents.

Without further ado, let us introduce PING’s scintillating third generation Glide wedge and look at why it's such a good option to be putting in the scoring part of your bag. |
PING told us that these wedges spin more than previous models, are more forgiving and feel incredibly soft off the face, and we have to agree with them on all three fronts. |
They look stunning, they perform superbly and there are plenty of options available. All that's left to do now is to come and try them out yourself the next time you're down the club. |
