Swing Studio Update

As we approach the new season which kicks off this Saturday with the traditional Captain vs Vice-Captain match, we also are getting closer to the completion of our new indoor facility.

To help give you a small flavour as to the technology we will have on offer please take a look at the GC Quad info below. The GC Quad is the number one launch monitor on the market and is the chosen product by many of the world’s top players as well as the leading manufacturers when testing new products. As far as outstanding work is concerned this week the plan is to complete the following:

Lay our sub floor and astro upper layer in and around the tee mat (as shown in photo), this is being sponsored by Thistle Artificial Grass, Aberdeen. Big thank you to Phil Strachan & Blair McKay.
Carpet tile the remaining floor area.

We still are waiting for the HD screen to arrive from the USA but we have been assured from Foresight that we are first on their list, so hopefully not much longer now. A key step prior to opening the doors is for Andy and myself to get familiar with the technology and all the GC Quad can offer. This will enable us to deliver accurate data/images for coaching/fitting and simulator golf time.

Club news

Recent course work…

Among some of the recent work now complete is this new edge to the path at the 3rd green. Using natural River Dee stone the green staff have done a nice job here and in time for the new season.

Craig joins our team…

Nineteen year old Craig has been a member here at Banchory since 2012 and has worked part time at Inchmarlo but has now joined our Pro Shop team this year. Craig will be assisting us this year so please pop in to say hello next time you’re at the Club.

PING Fitting Day

Join us on Thursday 25th April from 12pm-4pm for a PING Fitting Day. PING’s expert fitter with be coming along with the full range of G410 clubs for you to try and be fitted for. The new range boasts some great technological advances from last year’s model and has already had great success.
