Wow what a start to this year's Major golfing calendar last Sunday at Augusta. 

If ever someone deserved to win a Major for sure it's Sergio Garcia who has threatened so many times before. 

Golf of the highest order was put on display down the stretch Sunday evening as Sergio and Justin went head to head with the Spaniard finishing things off in style with a fabulous birdie on the first playoff hole - Seve would have been a very proud fellow countryman for sure and I'm sure that his sprit was with Sergio all the way. 

US Masters Pro Shop Sweep

Inkeeping with the Masters we ran a Pro Shop sweep for this Major - here are the results and the lucky winners who have had their shop accounts duly credited:

PING Fitting Day - Thursday 13th April

Please note that due to the 17th & 18th holes being used for this day both holes will be out of action from 1pm through to 5:30pm - if you are playing the course and approaching this part of the course between 1 and 5:30 that your last hole played will be the 16th - if however you plan to come down to try out the latest PING products please check into the Pro Shop for a briefing on how to safely access the hitting zone (in front of the 18th tee box). 




Last Saturday saw the Gents Medal being played with 149 players taking part. In memory of Scott Emslie the event was renamed after Scott and will be played for each year. There was a £2 entry fee per player which pulled together £298 however other members topped up this figure on the day with the final takings grossing £380 which was a tremendous effort from all who took part with the amount now to be donated to the British Heart Foundation.
