Now that our golf courses are recovered we would like to repay your generosity by offering your members the opportunity to play at Deeside Golf Club for our guest rate of £15 during the week and £20 at the weekend. 

This offer will be in place immediately through to the end of September. The following times are what we have allocated each week on both courses to repay the generosity of your members. 

Monday's 1pm - 3pm
Thursday's 10.30am-12pm
Friday's 4pm -6pm 
Saturday's 4pm -6pm 
Sunday's 3pm-5pm 

Tee times will be available to book by contacting the Professional Shop on 01224 861041 or email pro@deesidegolfclub.com. Please let your members know that they must present their membership cards on arrival to the golf course to take up this offer. Dress code will be strictly adhered to.

Last week we included some course pictures Richard had taken of the 18th hole. This week it's my turn so I wanted to share these two shots I took one early sunny morning and gives a snapshot and feel for how well presented the golf course has been this season. In the shop on the frontline we are regularly receiving feedback and compliments how improved the course is and these two shots give you a little taste of how things look now.

  
 


Junior Clubs for Sale

We have a second hand set of junior clubs for sale. Ideal for young children just getting into the game £80 ONO, please call the ProShop to discuss. 

They are Wilson "Prostaff" only one season old. The set is made up of 6 through to 9 iron pitching and sand wedges and 4 & 5 rescue clubs. They would fit someone around 5'0" - 5'6" We are happy to let people try them out.

JUNIOR COACHING: 

For this season I am offering the Junior members (H,cap 36 or less) the opportunity to engage with myself on a coaching front and at no cost. The structure that is now in place is to simply contact myself here at the Pro Shop and arrange at a mutually convenient time and book on a one to one basis or in small groups of maximum 2 players eg: half hour session on putting, 1 hour session on bunkers, 5 hole playing lesson, course management, basically any area of your game that requires focus and attention.

JUNIOR 5 HOLE FUN GOLF: "A New Initiative" 

- 5 Hole Fun Golf on Saturday early evenings for the younger juniors who do not have a handicap with the 1st tee being reserved from 4:30 until 5pm and playing holes 1 through to 5. This will hopefully be seen as a platform where the younger juniors can engage with the golf course. One parent / group walker is required to accompany each group round the course and assist the players to record their scores on the first 5 holes onto a course score card. 

Completed score cards can then be handed into the club secretary (via the office door letter box) where they will be retained. The club secretary will monitor the scores returned and based on the scores returned the player may then be given a club handicap of between 29-36. Once a player has this handicap of between 29-36 the junior can then sign up to play alongside the Monday night junior medals at the end of their block booking (4:30-5:30) and play from the YELLOW TEES. 

Completed score cards from these tees should then be handed into the secretary's office (via the letter box). This will hopefully provide the platform towards playing for an official club handicap of 28 or less. If you are keen to play in these fun evenings a sign-up sheet each week is available on the Junior Notice Board - if you require more information please get in touch with Andrew or myself here at the shop. 

JUNIOR SUMMER CAMP: 

We are now taking bookings for our summer golf camp, This will be run from July 4th- July 7th with juniors aged 7-9 receiving 1 hour and half of coaching and juniors aged 10-14 having 2 hours; these will both be in groups of 4. This program will also be running from 18th of July to July 21st if you know of any one that may be interested and would like more details on this they can contact the shop on 01330822447. 

Costs are £40 age 7-9 for the week and £50 for age 10-14.
