What a wonderful run of weather we had last week with temperatures running into the 20's over the weekend, happy smiley faces, shorts and milk bottle legs on the go everywhere. 

However bucking the trend last week and brightening up the day with a matching team outfit good enough to tee it up in the Sokhumi Cup was our two lovely ladies; Jackie Riches and Ruth Lyon who posed for this snapshot just before teeing off in the Ladies Greenstones Open last Thursday - way to go ladies and let's hope the weather this summer stays the course so we can all look as cool as Jackie and Ruth.


 

Our Gents Seniors Open is being played this Thursday at Banchory and a full field of golfers from all over the North East will take to the course and I can say quit confidently that they are in for a real treat. I managed to play a few holes on Monday and considering the good weather has been in short supply the golf course is in stunning condition and is well set up now for the rest of the season.

Jordan Spieth has been rather quiet following his collapse at the US Masters but watching him over the weekend he sure has found that golden touch again on the greens and found the winners circle and just in time for the next major the US Open which he defends at Oakmont Country Club 16-19 June.
